#1 Missed Thing At World Cup
Cheburashka!
Caption from Reuters:
People watch shutters of the spillway opened at the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station near the town of Divnogorsk, some 45 km (28 miles) south of Russia's Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, June 7, 2010. Two shutters of the spillway were opened today on one of the world's largest hydroelectric power stations to regulate excessive waters in the Yenisei basin and to protect Krasnoyarsk and other settlements along the river from flooding.
How Romantic.

So how do I meet the Wilson lady and convince her she wants to be my new best friend? She is awesome.
Not Russian related but since a lot of you follow tennis, her interview with Bethanie Mattek-Sands is possibly better thatn the Dmitry one. Even if the subject of girth never comes up.

Russian round up of the Road To Roland Garros pieces that have been featured in the last two weeks. I'm incredibly happy they've brought back Roland Garros karaoke but also kept RTRG as well.
Who's your hottie friend, Bepa?
Maria Kirilenko is pretty. Fact.
Love how Mikhail sums up the infamous head slash incident. "Nervous...beat myself....I won...so it helped." Sounds good to me.
Nads! I just adore her. This Roland Garros has helped me even further explore my Nadia love. Fabio Fognini? Eh, I dunno, but the way she explains her ideal man is adorable.
I randomly found this old video of Nads from 2008 that I had never seen her before. It's even related since she's riding in a car for most of it! Just watch her down the glass of champagne about 30 seconds in. Bad ass. I want to go get drunk with her and let her say inappropriate things about Rafa's ass and ask her if she's now embarrassed that she sang along to a James Blunt song.
Nadia eating a pulled pork sandwhich and singing Cher. Where the hell is Nadia's RG karaoke video?

Dmitry Tursunov gives a tour of his house for NTV Plus Russia. At least a bathroom seems to be almost done. I got incredibly giddy when he opened up the team Russia warm up from the suit bag I can't pinpoint exactly when this was filmed, but based on the swag he's showing off and the crutches and brace, I'd say late 2009.
Last I read about DJ Dima, he was recovering from his second ankle/foot surgery and hoped to be back for grass court season.
Come back, Dima. Igor needs you.

Congrats to Mikhail Youzhny, who in his third straight year in the Munich final managed to win the damn thing, beating Marin Cilic in 3 sets.
I adore Mishca. Always have. I love his game, I love his temper, I love his relationship with his coach, and I love his dedication to the Russian Davis Cup team. It's very nice to see him doing so well in the last couple of months after what seemed like multiple seasons of horrible results.
He even wore a ribbon of Saint George today. Good boy.
